Compensation Consultant
Description We are looking for an experienced Compensation Consultant to join a leading non-profit organization in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is a contract position ideal for a detail-oriented individual with deep expertise in compensation strategies and benchmarking. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring competitive and equitable pay structures, tailored to the unique needs of the organization. Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive compensation analyses to evaluate current pay structures and align them with industry standards. • Research and recommend surveys or data sources to support effective benchmarking for specialized roles. • Develop tailored compensation strategies for positions such as construction instructors and development specialists, benchmarking against comparable institutions. • Provide expert guidance on salary structures within the constraints of non-profit budgets. • Collaborate with organizational leaders to create compensation solutions that enhance employee satisfaction and retention. • Present findings and recommendations in clear, actionable formats to key stakeholders. • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to compensation practices. • Maintain a focus on equity and alignment with the organization's mission and values. • Offer strategic insight into compensation challenges faced by non-profits with limited resources. Requirements • A minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation management or consulting. • Proven expertise in compensation benchmarking and analysis across diverse industries. • Strong knowledge of salary structures and market comparisons, particularly for specialized roles. • Familiarity with non-profit organizations and their unique compensation challenges. • Ability to research and recommend appropriate surveys or benchmarking tools. • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail. • Proficiency in presenting complex data in a clear and actionable manner. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with stakeholders.
