Compensation Manager

We are seeking a skilled Manager, Compensation to join our dynamic HR team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing our compensation strategy to ensure competitive pay practices that attract, retain and motivate our top talent. You will collaborate closely with HR partners, senior leadership, and other functional key functional areas to manage and administer compensation programs that align with our organizational goals and comply with legal regulations.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Develop, manage and implement compensation programs, including base salary and variable pay programs to ensure competitive compensation packages. Conduct market research and salary benchmarking, to ensure competitive compensation practices Conduct job evaluations to determine job worth and ensure appropriate compensation levels. Maintain and update job descriptions and classification systems. Analyze compensation data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in the preparation and presentation of compensation reports and recommendations to senior management. Partner with HR leadership to develop and execute effective compensation strategies that support business objectives and talent management initiatives. Manage the annual salary review process, including administration, analysis, and communication of compensation decisions. Partner with HR leadership to develop and execute effective compensation strategies that support business objectives and talent management initiatives. Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding compensation and benefits. Stay updated on trends and best practices in compensation and benefits to recommend continuous improvements. Monitor and update compensation policies and practices to reflect changes in legislation or organizational needs. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal compensation laws and regulations. Lead or participate in special projects related to compensation, such as policy updates, compensation surveys or system implementations.  Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred. 3-5 years of experience in compensation management, with 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role. In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulations. Proven ability to analyze compensation data and develop actionable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with HRIS and compensation planning software preferred. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
