Several of its warehouses have been certified for pharmaceutical logistics by IATA’s CEIV Pharma and by the British MHRA. The pay for this position will be 130k/yr. Job Summary The Compensation Manager is responsible for developing, administering, and evaluating compensation structure and programs that are market competitive and compliant with laws and regulations. This includes managing the compensation function for the organization by establishing and maintaining programs and policies; making recommendations for salary range changes, market and pay adjustments; managing the job evaluation process and job descriptions; managing merit and incentive pay programs; and providing consultation and education related to compensation. The incumbent will be a hands-on leader providing both strategic and tactical support. This position is based in Raliegh, NC. A hybrid work schedule of three (3) days in the Corporate Office, with Wednesday being mandatory, and two (2) days remote. Reporting to the VP, HR Shared Services and Director of Total Rewards, this role will provide subject matter expertise and input to develop and evolve the compensation strategy in alignment with the business goals and objectives. The Compensation Manager will lead a team of compensation staff that will serve our stations and employees. Job Responsibilities · Designs, implements, and administers compensation programs and polices. · Ensures programs are administered in compliance with established guidelines, processes, procedures and controls and all applicable laws and regulations. · Assists in the development of the overall market-competitive strategy and philosophy for compensation programs to help drive employee engagement. · Build and lead the salary grade structure design and implementation. · Manage daily compensation operations including administration of compensation plans, market pricing, and providing job analysis guidance. · Designs and maintains job architecture framework, pay structures, and job descriptions. · Oversees the job evaluation process to accurately and appropriately assigned compensation for each job. · Manages and processes various incentive award programs. · Leads and supports the administration of compensation planning, merit and incentive processes · Develops internal training programs that promote education and compliance. · Supervises team members and manages the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team. · Collaborates with HRIS and Payroll on any compensation configuration or system updates. · Takes a leadership role in HR projects and develops project plan which includes required deliverables, timelines and involvement of team members. Qualifications and Competencies · Advanced knowledge of all relevant federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting compensation programs and human resources, including the FLSA etc. · Experience with HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred) and advanced computer proficiency. · Experience navigating diverse compensation frameworks, ecompassing collective bargaining agreements,international employees, and other intricate structures. · Proven aptitude in cross-functional collaboration, supported by acute analytical skills and effective communication skills. · Advanced MS Excel skills required. · Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, decision-making, time management, and organizational skills. · Demonstrated ability to think critically, analyze, listen, clarify, solve problems and work independently. · Functional knowledge of Human Resources business processes (compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS, etc.). · Demonstrated ability to understand financial terms and processes. · Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required. · Five (5) years compensation management experience required, with understanding of incentive compensation or related fields. · Three (3) years of experience leading a team as the direct supervisor preferred. · Experience with a multi-state organization and collective bargaining agreements preferred. · CCP, SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, or related certification preferred. · Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Travel: · Able to travel up to 15% to support job responsibilities.
