Position Summary

The Compensation Manager is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Compensation Manager is a member of the HR team, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our organization's compensation programs. S/he analyzes and administers both base pay and incentive structures to attract and retain top talent. Collaborating with leadership, this position ensures pay adjustments align with best practices, contributing to fair and equitable remuneration.


Position Specific Responsibilities

Partners with HR Leaders to create a compensation strategy based on market and survey data.Ensures job descriptions are up to date and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.Develops, enables, and motivates team members to meet established productivity and quality standards.Drives and promotes continual process improvement.Manages grade structures for all business units.Assists with the design of HR analytics using Workday dashboards on pay equity, compensation trends, and retention analytics.Consults with HR Business Partners and Recruiters on compensation programs and concerns such as promotion adjustments, new hire offers, and other job evaluations.Collaborates with management on requests for compensation-related issues (i.e.; internal equity analysis, retention recommendations, market recommendations, bonus recommendations).Reviews compensation practices for compliance with federal and local laws and regulations such as FSLA to identify areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans. Develops and documents procedures to ensure compliance.Prepares and distributes communications and training related to compensation programs.Utilizes and maintains compensation-related tools (CompAnalyst, ERI, etc.) to ensure the accuracy of job pricing data.Manages the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of compensation policies and programs to increase colleague engagement and enable strategic success.Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree required.Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience in the field of compensation, human resources, or a related area strongly preferred.


Skills

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy.


Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
