•    Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, the global and EMEA home of the group’s duty free, air travel and cruises business.
•    The Absolut Group, the brand owner of our global white spirits portfolio, whose Gin brand unit and Business Acceleration team sit in London.

We are an organisation of 2,000 employees in the UK, headquartered in London, in a brand-new office designed with sustainability, ‘conviviality’ and collaboration in mind. We also have offices in Scotland and various distilleries and production sites across the UK from Plymouth to London to Speyside.

Your new team    This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe.

You will work within a small close-knit team of Compensation & Benefits professionals, sitting within & working closely with the wider HR team.


Your unique contribution    As a Compensation Manager, you are responsible for designing, implementing, and administering Pernod Ricard UK (incl. all affiliates) Compensation programs. 

This role ensures that compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives, fostering an environment where talent is attracted, retained, and appropriately rewarded. 
The Compensation Manager will work closely with HR leadership, HR Business Partners to provide expertise and guidance on compensation-related matters.

Your key responsibilities include:

Compensation Structures: Design, implement, and maintain competitive and equitable compensation structures.

Job Evaluations: Conduct job evaluations to establish internal equity and consistency.

Salary Benchmarking and Market Research: Perform regular market analyses to benchmark salaries and benefits against industry standards.

Incentives and Bonus Programs: Design and manage performance-based incentives and bonus programs.

Compensation Campaigns: Drive compensation campaigns and monitor them alongside HR Directors / HR Business Partners to drive employee engagement and satisfaction.

Shares Plan Management: Oversee the management of employee shares and equity-based compensation plans.

Compliance Management: Ensure compensation programs comply with local laws and regulations.

Data Quality and Analysis: Maintain data integrity and provide in-depth analyses of compensation metrics to inform decision-making.
Digitalisation: Implement and optimise digital tools and platforms to streamline compensation processes.

Gender Pay Gap Analysis: Conduct analyses to identify and address pay disparities across the organization.

Employee Upskilling and Communication: Educate employees and managers about compensation policies, fostering transparency and understanding.

Accruals and Recharges: Manage and streamline processes to optimize financial performance.

Who you’ll be working with     You will report to the Head of Compensation and Benefits – Centre of Expertise – and will work closely with the HR directors, functional business partnering teams, CODI teams, administration and payroll team and the broader HR function to deliver high impact and highly efficient Compensation processes.

You will build trusted relationships with key business stakeholders. 

You will also cultivate productive business relationships with industry and function experts and to maintain visibility of sector developments and best practice.

•    Compensation SME with solid business acumen and analytical skills
•    Data savvy, numerically oriented, strong attention to detail. 
•    Problem solver, able to work in a context of ambiguity and frequently changing priorities
•    Ability to work with high level of autonomy and transparency, 
•    Strong communication and presentation skills; can make complex technical matters easy to understand for all
•    Good team player, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence stakeholders at all levels
•    Open minded, excellent intercultural sensitivity, used to work with colleagues from different geographies/backgrounds
•    Proven experience in managing compensation programmes internationally
•    Excellent excel and data analysis skills, including data visualisation 
•    Experience with HRIS (Workday preferable)
•    Significant working experience within medium to large size multi-national companies
