Compensation Administration
Reviews candidates’ profile, and submits an initial recommendation on the appropriate salary package or honorarium/additional compensation that may be offered depending on the employment status (part-time/full-time, hourly/monthly), employee category (faculty/staff), and loading Reviews and analyzes payroll materials received, and prepares the applicable documents for implementation (e.g. payroll authorization notices, payroll removal notices, and payroll schedules) Implements the equivalent merit and general increase accorded to each employee Computes and recommends the promotional increase or pay adjustment of an employee due to changes in job level Monitors the engagement period of contractual/project employees to ensure timely processing of renewals, in coordination with the Recruitment Section Coordinates with the Central Accounting Offices, the Unit/Office, and the Recruitment Section regarding payroll release, hold order notices, clearances, and quitclaims with necessary offices & personnel. Coordinates with the department/school units regarding ambiguous and/or erroneous information on payroll materials submitted for implementation Prepares a consolidated report of the Jesuit Contributed Services to be submitted to the Compensation Head for preparation of paymentCompensation Review and Evaluation
Generates initial data (e.g. demographics, salary data, etc.) for statistics, analysis, interpretation, projection, and recommendation for sound organizational decision of the University, partner units, or as support to collective bargaining agreement process or other projects Researches salary trends and surveys, and provides initial recommendations on how to align University’s pay structure with benchmarks Assists in evaluating the current University compensation and rewards policies/programs, and drafts recommendations to ensure that they are current, relevant, competitive, and compliant with government laws/guidelines, in partnership with the Benefits Section. Designs the compensation and rewards study methodology Coordinates with the various HR sections in conducting periodic review of the compensation structure and gathering needed dataRecords and Systems Data Management
Maintains the integrity of the HR information system by encoding information/data (e.g. updates on educational qualification of faculty), and updating data in the compensation module that may merit employee movements with or without salary adjustment Coordinates with the University’s Digital Information and Technology Systems (DITS) for the maintenance of the HR information system, and the migration of data to different information databases, and creation and deactivation of employee email accounts.HR Partnering
Liaises with assigned partner unit/s (typically a Cluster or a School Unit) for their Total Rewards concerns and requirements. Facilitates the communication between the Partner-Unit and concerned Sections of HR. Attends to queries regarding payroll, and provides information on compensation-related matters; coordinating payroll release, hold order notices, clearances, and other compensation- related matters with necessary offices & personnel Keeps track of updates and developments that affect the University as an organization, including its employees Recommends and implements adjustments to compensation administration based on changes in the UniversityOffice Management Support
Takes lead in handling projects as may be assigned Conducts orientation for newly hired employees regarding compensation mattersPerforms other work-related tasks as may be required by the Immediate Supervisor and authorized representative.
