Competitive Access & Strategy Manager, ADC, Italy
**1. Primary Objective of Position** • This position primary goals are to monitor and anticipate relevant competition initiatives to address potential market access opportunities and challenges. • Position will have a critical responsibility in achieving market access and reimbursement for new ADC products (coding, coverage & payment, tender positioning). • Position directly reports to market access director and interacting with in country senior staff and EMEAP/global market access teams. **2. Major Accountabilities** • Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements. • Analyze competitive products’ offering, strategies and initiatives to support faster and more informed decision making by senior management. • Analyze competitive landscape and implement process and tools to collect information generating insights in the light of supporting the definition of appropriate market access strategies and tender management. • Collaborate with sales, field medical, field access and marketing team to support promotional and access activities and communication strategies according to current and future competition. • Develop appropriate scenario planning to anticipate potential market evolution. • Analyze market access trends / health policy changes and continuously map reimbursement requirements by payer type for on market products. Anticipate access barriers and cost containment risks. • Collaborate with Market Access Director and other internal functions in Understanding, describing and prioritizing most relevant (influential, accessible) market access stakeholders (patient associations, payers, governmental bodies, industry associations, and professional associations and other stakeholders) for local ADC organization and business in the light of increasing competition. • Contribute for understanding the specific needs of payers and reimbursementrelated stakeholders and identify partnering opportunities. • Supporting contracting and tendering opportunities / risk within care groups to position the ADC portfolio and sustain profitability. • Support tender management by leading “clarification” process directly interacting with tender office and coordinating internal cross-functional team on this task, • Provide competitive insights to maximize overall local tender and market access strategy. • Support Market Access Director for the partnership with global market access to inform product development & pricing based on competitive scenario and local customer needs. • Provide inputs for Developing launch plans for new products mapping out local coding, to coverage and payment requirements. • Collaborate with Market access director for proposing to the senior • Work with all staff levels, interact and collaborate with other team members and internal functions to foster a success-driven team spirit within the company. **3. Education** • University Degree in science, economics. **4. Background** • At least 5 years of experience performed in pharma / medical device industry, health policy or related functions of payer disease management organizations. • Ability to rationalize multiple information on competitive landscape to develop appropriate strategies. • Ability to translate the strategies into actionable and realistic engagement plans to ensure market access of Abbott products, in alignment with brand strategies. • Strategic understanding of the business and ability to connect all relevant information to generate valuable strategic insights. • Broad knowledge of local tenders and reimbursement pathways. • Ability to develop impactful strategies & action plans to mitigate reimbursement challenges. • Proven leadership and engaging personality able to develop sustainable relationships with all ADC relevant decision makers. • Abbott Leadership Competencies Critical for Success: Set Vision and Strategy; Drive for Results.
