We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source for Completion Lead specialising in offshore compression. This is a long-term contract role working on a residential basis 6-days per week / 10 hours per day. Please see details below:
Title: Completion Lead – COMP9
Start Date: Negotiable (typically within 1 month notice)
Duration: 36 months (potential for extension)
Location: Onshore (site based)
Working Schedule: 6-days per week / 10 hours per day
Job Purpose: Responsible for supporting and guiding the Construction teams who has the full authority, accountability, and responsibility for safe and successful delivery of EPC scope for all Construction Completions aspects for ONSHORE BUILDINGS & INFRASTRUCTURE COMPRESSION PROJECT – COMP9 which involves Onshore buildings. OCC (Onshore Collaborative Centre) OLB (Onshore Logistic Base) and associated brownfield works.
This position is located at RLIC Site to supervise and monitoring the completion activities involved with building construction works (Civil, /Steel Structure /Architecture/MEP/E&I) works. To ensure compliance with the approved construction sequence, project requirements and specifications.
Key Accountabilities: Reports to the NFPS Compression COMP9 Head of Construction Responsible for leading various building construction completion scopes which involves construction activities such as Civil, /Steel Structure /Architecture/MEP/E&I Work in a project environment to create a culture that encourages everyone to contribute to their best ability every day. Support and provide guidance to walkdown team with the schedule and execution of walkdowns where required, and in line with the the project walkdown & punch list procedures to accomplish construction completions. Support the EPC Contractor in ensuring the Construction Completion procedures are followed by all parties. Interfaces with Contractor/QC/OES/Operations/Contractors and Completions Teams from NFPS Project areas, System completion Team and Walkdown Engineers. Working effectively within established procedures and participates in all important meetings and workshops (e.g., weekly, and monthly meetings, 3D Model reviews, Constructability, Construction and Completion Sequence Reviews). Ensure that the Contractor and Subcontractors are compliant with project safety expectations, policies, and procedures. Monitors and reports progress of various construction activities against agreed schedule. Provide support in the consistency of Check sheet, Punch List, Exception and Readiness reports. Bring execution solutions that favour safe construction execution and transition to Commissioning activities. Knowledge-expert on safe practices and procedures related to construction (e.g., Work Management System (WMS), Permit-to-Work (PTW) etc.
Qualifications:
Preferred Engineering Degree\Diploma or relevant on the job experience
Extensive experience in construction completions as a leadership and supervisory role
Knowledge and/or Experience: 15 years’ overall experience with at least 10 years demonstrated experience in similar role. Broad and extensive knowledge of Onshore building construction activities, design standards, specifications, codes, appropriate safety criteria, operations, with overall responsibility for construction execution of small to medium scale projects. Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Working experience in Qatar and Ras Laffan Industrial City is preferred and considered as plus.
