About the job:

Kent is looking for a Country Manager for our Completions, Commissioning and Start-Up (CCS) business unit to be based in the Calgary, Alberta, Canada office reporting to our Vice President Completions, Commissioning & Start-up, Americas.

Strategy:

Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with project goals and objectivesProvide clear communication to the organization on business strategies, ensure that the business strategy is considered in our decision-making and business planning

Business Development:

Perform both business development and business delivery in its natureResponsible for allocating operational resources to win work in line with annual and quarterly new awards targets for the regionEnsures that we can demonstrate our Value Proposition to our clientsMaintain high level contact with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and to keep abreast of any potential business developments within the customer baseEstablish relationships with prospects and clients, communicates effectively with them to properly understand their needs and inform them of the various solutions that Kent has to offerManage existing client relationships and ensure that leverages off internal executives’ existing client relationshipsSupport operational leadership for proposal developmentEnsure potential cross functional opportunities are actively pursued or passed onto relevant peersEnsure early positioning of Kent and participate in defining Winning StrategyTravel regionally as required to support business needs and pursues business in new markets across the region, in line with Strategic objectives

Operations Leadership:

Create and manage budgets for operations and projects with a target on controlling costs and ensuring that operations and projects stay within budgetary constraints and proposal estimatesSet key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly evaluate the performance of the operations team against these metricsEnsure that leaders within the Projects are focused on developing internal talent across the regionEnsure local compliance occurs within region and ensure optimum business set upMaintain local Government and affiliated chamber/industry body relationships, as may be necessary and internally approved as requiredAct as internal and external ambassador for the companyIdentify inefficiencies in processes and implement improvements to increase productivity and efficiencySupport activities such as manpower sourcing, vendors and subcontractors with site management to ensure they are effectively, and efficiently meeting all Kent requirements for project execution

Human Resources:

Hire, train and manage a team of employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their jobs effectively

Execution:

Work closely with Finance and HR to ensure that we put in place the correct entities to execute the work where it arisesLook ahead in line with the agreed strategy to get entities in place ahead of the work opportunitiesEnsure compliance with all Kent Management System proceduresFull compliance with the company policy on Anti Bribery and CorruptionOn larger contracts and alliances, take on a Project Sponsorship roles and maintain executive level liaison with clients as neededEnsure the integrity of all HSE, Quality, Progress and Financial dataIdentify Commercial risks and support the Country Managers and Project Managers in resolving theseWork with Central Operations Support group to resolve the larger items / risksFeedback to proposals to ensure that we are pricing to win and execute

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering or other Industry related fields of studyA strong focus on the development of HSSE awareness and HSSE management is essentialUnderstanding of major project lifecycle executionAbility to manage complex stakeholder relationshipsDeep understanding of the energy industry in region, customer segmentation and customer base across sectors

Communication:
