WHAT TO EXPECT:
This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a newly built team at JLR as a Complex Castings Subject Matter Expert. You will be joining the Powertrain department working on complex castings ranging from batteries, EDU’s and cylinder heads. You will need to have previous experience off working with Castings, ideally being able to develop a casting from concept to production. You will also need a driving license as you will spend time at different JLR sites as well as spending time at supplier sites. You will have the chance to work across a broad selection of Castings and be able to put your stamp on them as this is a fairly new team still. This role also offers hybrid working.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Development and alignment of casting standards, alongside relevant specialists Develop & maintain casting DFMEA framework Maintain a casting capability roadmap for the design and development of castings Set-up and facilitate a community of practice & training materials for casting engineers Support casting product owners and engineers with casting issue resolution
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Experience in the end to end design and development of complex cast and machined assemblies Experience of casting processes and tool design Experience in the use of Six Sigma problem solving methodologies Understanding of DFMEA development and quality processes A driving license as you will need to travel around sites
