Complex Claims Director, Financial Lines Join us as a Claims Complex Director to take on key responsibilities within a world-class claims function. How you will create an impact + Manage complex commercial claims such as securities class actions, professional liability litigations, wrongful termination disputes, fraud, kidnapping, breach of representations and warranties, privacy breach class actions, etc. + Prepare timely coverage assessments and issue coverage letters under various types of commercial insurance policies, such as Director & Officers Liability, Professional Liability, Employers Liability, Financial Institutions, Fidelity, Fiduciary, Merger & Acquisition and Cyber + Assess exposure on all claims/set reserves and present to management on high exposure losses + Monitor external counsel and ensure compliance to the litigation guidelines + Communicate with our underwriting partners any information which may impact risk assessment and ensure alignment + Provide optimal claims service to clients and broker partners + Attend mediations/settlement conferences + Negotiate and settle claims within prescribed authority + Conform to company procedures/best practices What you’ll need to succeed + A Lawyer with over 5 years of Commercial or insurance litigation preferably with an emphasis on D&O, E&O, Financial Institutions, Fidelity and/or Fiduciary claims, Cyber + Or + Substantive experience in complex claims / litigation management under Financial Lines products + Legal degree, strongly recommended + Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and strong negotiation skills + Experience attending and controlling cases at mediations/settlement conferences, pre-suit, post-suit, pre-trial, and post-trial. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision + Ability to multi-task and work effectively and cooperatively in a fast-paced busy team environment + Ability to manage workload effectively and efficiently/ability to prioritize is essential + Proficient computer skills in a paperless environment Ready to take your career to the next level?
