Take the first step towards a rewarding career by applying today. Overview We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Payroll Clerk. Must be an organized self-starter, innovative and have strong oral and written communication skills. Must have thorough knowledge of accounting and computer operations. Must be able to analyze and resolve issues that come up with regard to all aspects of accounting and finance. Responsible for processing employee time logs, PTO requests. Reconcile payroll data entries, transmit biweekly payroll, as well as the inputting of all other pay types. The responsibility also includes ensuring smooth operation of the accounting department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure confidentiality of all payroll information. Maintain and distribute all time edits for each department Verify and process all employment information in regards to payroll prior to payroll processing date. Maintain and insure all employee information in the payroll system is valid and up to date. Keep track of PTO for each employee. Provide managers, supervisors, and employees with additional payroll information as needed. Responsible for voluntary deduction reports and submitting check requests. Prepare monthly reconciliation’s of voluntary deduction liability accounts, including but not limited to garnishments, childcare, health care and 401K. Maintain log of all manual voided payroll checks. Responsible for filing and maintaining current employee payroll files. Responsible for maintaining relocation expenses for year end payroll adjustments. Qualifications Four year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $28.00/Hr. - $34.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
