Job summary:
This position will sit within JPMC’s Global Compliance, Conduct, & Operational Risk (CCOR) department in the Office of Fair Lending (OFL). OFL monitoring includes the ongoing evaluation and identification of fair lending risk, as well as control effectiveness in business processes. The monitoring performed is designed to maximize coverage across LOBs by using data and transaction files to assess the level of risk, evaluate controls or processes implemented to mitigate risks and/or oversee compliance with regulatory obligations and internal policies, standards, and procedures. The team will primarily cover Consumer Community Banking lending products within Home Lending, Credit Card, Business Banking and Auto.
Job responsibilities:
Evaluates customer transactional data to assess fair lending risk and compliance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures Executes review activities in an effective manner focusing on underwriting or pricing compliance with written credit policies and operating procedures, and current fair lending regulations Reviews credit policies, credit operations and loss mitigation procedures, product guides, pricing matrices, marketing material and/or other credit product related materials Completes review activities on an accelerated schedule, raising schedule concerns and developing solutions to mitigate scheduling issues Proactively communicates exceptions to stakeholders and propose solutions while ensuring quality and timeliness of monitoring execution Write and/or review reports or presentations that reflect the results/conclusions of monitoring activities Develop expertise in fair lending regulations such as the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), the Fair Housing Act (FHAct) and Chase’s policies and procedures Builds relationships and collaborates with key stakeholders within the Office of Fair Lending and Line of BusinessRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Qualified Graduate with minimum of 7 years of related financial services experience in lending related activities, Compliance or Audit functions or equivalent regulatory background Extensive understanding of credit underwriting practices and lending products Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment The ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment driven by regulatory focus Strong relationship building skills to influence/negotiate desired outcomes. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues and senior management. Strong verbal/written communication Effective time management skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively Ability to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, and make recommendations Conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving skills Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint requiredPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
