Some of the things you will be doing:

Support with the provision of advice and guidance to all areas of the Business in respect of all compliance-related issues enabling clarity for colleagues and resolution to issues identified; Maintain awareness and understanding of key regulatory changes and industry best practices relating to the Cayman legislative and regulatory framework with an emphasis on understanding and interpretation of the Proceeds of Crime Act, Anti-Money Laundering Regulations, and the Guidance Notes on the Prevention and Detection of Money Laundering in the Cayman Islands; Ability to develop and document pragmatic risk-based solutions to practical challenges that arise in the course of day-to-day business operations; Provide review and challenge where appropriate to procedural changes and policy recommendations;  Critically analyse client-specific scenarios that require oversight from the Intertrust Local Acceptance Committee including making recommendations based on an understanding of compliance risks identified; Support the delivery of all key Cayman Compliance objectives by working with the Vice President of Compliance Advisory across a variety of deliverables Maintain appropriate tracking and record keeping of core compliance framework information, including training records, PEPs, and approvals relating to high-risk clients, etc.; Support with the maintenance of Intertrust Cayman’s country risk assessment process on an ongoing periodic basis;  Support with the drafting and issuance of any key risk and compliance-linked messaging to the wider Business  Build strong and open partnerships across 1st line of defence; Contribute to the development of a greater risk and compliance culture across all activities undertaken in the Cayman office. 

What technical skills, experiences, and qualifications do you need?

Demonstrable experience in compliance and compliance advisory is preferable Experience of Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Company Administration processes Demonstrating an understanding of key legislation and regulation (including industry guidance) to be able to help with the implementation of a robust compliance framework  Ability to work within a small team and support on a wide variety of tasks ensuring that no key person dependency exists and collaboration/teamwork is evidenced through day-to-day activities  Stakeholder management. The successful can interact with individuals within the 1st line of defense in order to support key deliverables Results orientated - a commitment to demonstrably improve key business processes Willingness and ability to adapt influencing styles and approaches as needed. A track record of achievement in financial services A self-starter with the ability and drive to act on their own initiative. Strong Microsoft skills, including Excel, word and PowerPoint
