As a Compliance Analyst Intern, you'll support our team in ensuring our business meets government and industry standards. You'll learn how to analyze information from various sources to help us stay compliant with all requirements.
About the Role:
Help implement compliance controls based on new laws, regulations, or business initiatives
Understand and explain how laws, processes, controls, and monitoring are connected
Use your knowledge of controls to improve our compliance management system
Keep records updated and documented in our system
Follow our internal Corrective Action policy
Assist in monitoring compliance activities
Identify areas where we can improve our processes and compliance
Stay updated on current, revised, and emerging regulations and standards
Help audit current or potential clients for legal and regulatory compliance
About You:
Minimum Qualifications:
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience with communication and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
Experience with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office suite)
Ability to dig deep and be a self-starter
Attention to detail
Excel knowledge (creating reports, pivot tables, and storytelling with data)
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of the risks associated with non-compliance
Basic understanding of business operations and processes
Knowledge of different types of controls and their functions
Familiarity with project management tools
Knowledge of SQL or Python
Prior experience in servicing or mortgage knowledge
