  ABOUT THE ROLE    We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Compliance and Operations Specialist/Floater (COS/F). As a COS/F, you will be an integral part of our property management operations, providing support across multiple properties within our portfolio during times of new property acquisitions or when site teams need added support to meet various compliance and other deadlines. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting rent recertifications, assisting with leasing activities, and handling general site administrative duties. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused professional who is willing and able to travel to various locations including via plane.    Location: This position is remote based. The COS/F requires around 85% travel to properties in the New England area. Travel to properties outside of New England region via plane as needed.     ABOUT YOUR IMPACT Conduct rent recertifications and ensure compliance with affordable housing program regulations.  Assist with leasing activities, including conducting property tours, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.  Handle general site administrative duties, such as maintaining records, managing resident inquiries, and coordinating maintenance requests.  Collaborate with property managers and leasing teams to ensure seamless operations at various locations.  Willing to train individuals who show an aptitude for learning and possess some experience or education in affordable housing, property management, leasing, or a related field.  Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to maintain compliance with relevant housing programs.  Travel to different properties in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and including via plane as needed to provide support and assist in various property management tasks. 
ABOUT YOU  High school diploma or equivalent; further education in property management, real estate, or a related field is preferred.  Certified Occupancy Specialist/Tax Credit Certification Proven experience in affordable housing, property management, leasing, or a similar field is desirable, but we are willing to train motivated individuals who show promise and a passion for the industry.  Strong understanding of affordable housing program regulations and rent recertification processes is a plus.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with residents, team members, and external stakeholders.  Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to various property environments.  Proficiency in relevant property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.  Willingness and ability to travel including via plane to different properties as required.    BENEFITS AT POAH COMMUNITIES
