Compliance and Reporting Officer

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Safeguarding and Pedagogy Officer you will oversee compliance and reporting related to the National Law, Education and Care National Regulations, state-based reportable conduct requirements, and other regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the identification, documentation, and preliminary reporting of reportable incidents. 

Help prepare reports, forms, and other necessary documentation for submission to regulatory bodies. 

Ensure all preliminary reporting is conducted within specified timeframes, maintaining high standards of accuracy and completeness, and submit for final review. 

Assist in developing and recommending compliance monitoring programs to assess adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. 

Provide initial recommendations for corrective actions and support the business in addressing compliance issues. 

Track and report on compliance performance metrics. 

Collaborate with internal teams to help develop and update company policies and procedures related to compliance and reporting. 

Maintain food safety compliance. 

Support policy reviews and updates. 

To be a front-running candidate for this role, you’ll ideally bring the following experience and qualifications:

A degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.

Certification in compliance, such as a Certificate IV in Compliance and Risk Management, would be beneficial.

Several years of experience in the early childhood education sector or a related field.

Proven experience in regulatory compliance, particularly with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and state-based reportable conduct requirements.
