As an experienced Compliance and Risk Manager within our UKI Professional Services practice, you will play a critical role in guiding the business to maintain compliance with government frameworks and managing the associated risk profile. Your leadership will ensure that compliance risks are identified, minimized, and mitigated, allowing us to support our customers in their digital transformation journey.
What the Role Offers
Collaborate with legal, security, and delivery teams to review government frameworks and identify necessary compliance actions.Develop and document strategies to achieve and maintain compliance at both the company and delivery levels.Obtain agreement from internal functions and senior management to implement compliance strategies.Execute compliance plans, identify residual risks, and establish controls for ongoing risk monitoring and management.Conduct compliance checks and internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance measures, making necessary adjustments as required.Assess new business opportunities against compliance frameworks, identifying additional risks and coordinating suitable mitigation activities.Oversee the management of residual risks, ensuring appropriate controls are in place and functioning effectively.Prepare monthly compliance and risk reports for senior management, providing updates on compliance status, risk management, and any new mitigation plans.
What You Need to Succeed
Strong understanding of UK government services frameworks, standards, and controls, or a robust legal background.Proven experience managing compliance within the public sector.Knowledge of IT project and service delivery to assess risks related to contract compliance and determine mitigation strategies.Excellent team-working abilities and strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.Capacity to work under pressure, make informed decisions, and take responsibility for those decisions.Good business acumen, with an understanding of business needs balanced against compliance requirements.Must qualify for or hold a high level of UK Security clearance.
