Compliance and Training Manager - Crane and Rigging

Scope and Assignment

Training and Development Compliance Investigations Safety Human Resources Travel up to 20% - 40%

Supervisory Responsibilities

Functional Areas of Responsibility

Mentoring Data Tracking and Reporting Auditing and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures Training Delivery Employee Relations Coordinate interactions with site management groups Technical Writing Maintain compliance of department budget resources Professional Communicator (written and verbal) Conduct professional investigations in a timely manner

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Build solid working relationships with site management teams Act as the Crane & Rigging Subject Matter Expert (SME) Ensure compliance with Austin Industrial policies and procedures across the company in its entirety Know and understand industry trends and regulations and be able to communicate those to Austin Industrial Leadership Assist safety and site management during crane and rigging accident investigations Be able to certify NCCER Crane Operators and Riggers Research, evaluate, and recommend external training opportunities for crane operators and riggers Create a positive, trusted working culture between crane operators, riggers, site management, and the training department Track company Crane & Rigging efforts including certifications, training, and compliance Work closely with the safety department and offer guidance regarding safety Crane & Rigging policies Follow up with all levels of management to ensure involved parties in all Crane & Rigging training programs complete their assigned training And any other tasks, duties, training, or responsibilities that may be assigned by the Director of Talent Development or Senior Leadership

Qualifications Required for this Position

Education and Certifications

Appropriate level of college degree or verifiable advanced field experience applicable to crane & rigging NCCER Crane & Rigging Certifications (Assessments and Practical’s) NCCER Crane & Rigging Evaluator Certification

Experience

Minimum of seven years’ experience in the Crane & Rigging department of a construction and maintenance company in an industrial setting Minimum of two years' experience as a leader / manager in a Crane & Rigging Training Department Minimum of five years' experience working as an NCCER Crane & Rigging Subject Matter Expert
