Job Title Compliance Associate (Part-time) Agency Texas A&M University - Central Texas Department Institutional Compliance Proposed Minimum Salary $15.00 hourly Job Location Killeen, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description Responsible for the execution of department day to day oversight and management of compliance initiatives, records management, and public information request. Monitors compliance with federal, state, and Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) regulatory and governing standards, including but not limited to policies, procedures, rules, and directives, as well as compliance own internal and external policies and procedures. Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer. The department is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Performs compliance activities designed to assist management in the attainment of organizational objectives. + Assists in preparing for upcoming audits by maintaining and monitoring central records and tracking for records management, public information request, and other compliance related areas. + Compiles information needed to process requests filed under the Texas Public Information Act; files required monthly reports with the Texas Attorney General. + Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of databases of all rules and procedures required by the TAMUS and any additional rules and procedures needed for operations as determined by administration. + Identifies records to purge in conjunction with the TAMUS records retention schedule; coordinates and recommends destruction of records; promotes records retention annually to campus as required by TAMUS policy; and coordinates and leads departmental record retention representatives. + Plans, coordinate, facilitate and/or conducts compliance related trainings for compliance related areas to promote university-wide awareness and compliance. In coordination with other offices, develops and carries out training in a variety of media. This represents the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of this job, and authorities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions. Additional Responsibilities + Provides reports on all compliance efforts as needed; serves on committees as needed. + Maintain purchasing information needed to complete monthly reconciliation reports. + Prepare correspondence, compile data, and produce comprehensive reports. + Serves as a liaison, answers customer questions, and responds to requests. + Maintains Institutional Compliance Offices webpage and updates as needed. + Assist with promotion, set up, and takedown of department events and trainings. Minimum Requirements: Education – High School diploma. Experience – Two years of office experience. Preferred Experienced: Knowledge and experience in the following Systems: GovQA, Workday, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and Governmental Accounting Standards (GAS). + Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include: word, teams, outlook, and excel. + Customer service and organizational skills. + Interpersonal and written communication skills. + Presentation and public speaking skills. + Strategic planning and problem-solving skills. + Time-management and scheduling skills. + Attention to detail and critical thinking skills. + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. + Ability to manage sensitive and confidential/private information and communications. Other Requirements: None Salary: Hourly $15 Hours: Hours are flexible with no more than 19.5 hours weekly worked Monday – Friday between the hours of 8-5pm. Work Location: This is not a remote position, and the selected candidate will be required to work on campus. Flexible or hybrid work schedules to allow for some remote work may be permitted as determined appropriate by supervisor. All positions are security-sensitive.
