The Role:

The Compliance Audit Intern role will report directly to the Director of Internal Audit within the Internal Audit Department.   This short-term full-time position requires 40 hours/week for a 12-week period beginning June 2, 2025.

The intern for this exciting opportunity must have an interest in learning about auditing, specifically compliance audit for a national publicly held long-term care pharmacy. The person will need to have a sense of ownership in this project, and an ability to perform audit related tasks. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

This person will be responsible for assisting with the following duties:

Execute internal audit programs and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures, regulations, and standards

Participate in walkthroughs and perform testing

Prepare initial draft of audit results

Education and/or Certifications:

A Junior or Senior in an undergraduate business/accounting program or a Graduate school student within a business program.

Skills and Qualifications:

Passionate about the work being completed with a focus on quality of work;

Motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate;

Flexible and able to quickly adapt to new systems and changes in processes;

Excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet scheduled deadlines;

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
