This position is responsible for assisting the Compliance Department with all associated tasks. This includes all Compliance related activities of incoming and outgoing freight associated with Liebherr America US Locations.
Responsibilities Provide assistance to all Liebherr America US locations. Assist Manager as a resource in continuing education effort as it relates to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Assist Manager in developing and managing the Compliance Training Program. Assist Manager in maintaining a controlled documentation system, record retention, and information services functions including electronic records retention processes. Ability to respond to all US Customs regrading entries, filings, questions, and queries. Assist in managing Harmonized Tariff Code (HTC) data. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; Works well in-group problem solving situations. Understanding and meeting the needs of customers and addressing the interests and concerns of all stakeholders. Competencies Education/Experience: At least five years of relevant work experience: or a combination of education and experience equivalent to at least 8 to 10 years of related experience. Working knowledge of US Customs & Border Protection regulations and processes as it applies to import/export procedures. Working knowledge of the Customs entry process and Partner Government Agencies (PGAs) requirements as it applies to import/export procedures. Demonstrated ability to work with international freight forwarders, customs brokers and CBP. Proficient in MS Office programs to include MS Excel, MS Word MS Outlook, and MS Teams. Working knowledge of all modes of transportation; containerized, truckload, oversized, air, small package, domestic and international. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license Ability to proficiently communicate orally and in writing in English.
