\nEnsure the products being produced and or shipped in the facility are meeting customer specifications, per established corporate and plant guidelines and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards. Keep work area clean and organized, per 5S standards. Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures. Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as required. Develop, implement and ensure all corporate and plant safety policies and procedures are being followed and are up to date. Maintain total compliance with all OSHA and EPA regulations. Perform thorough accident investigations, in coordination with the Plant Manager and Human Resources Manager. Perform internal audits and inspections and enter into appropriate safety systems as required. Prepare and lead weekly safety meetings as per OSHA standards, and steer the plant safety committee, ensuring goals and objectives are clarified and meet. Administer safety training updates for shipping/receiving employees, ensuring all lift and clamp truck safety rules are communicated and understood. Maintain regular communication with all levels of employees, from floor level, up to Corporate Safety and Quality, through email, calls, and meetings. Oversee CLOSE CALL program, ensuring proper reporting and documentation procedures are followed. Assist in investigating customer complaints and help to resolve quality issues. Conduct required training and new employee orientation. Continually monitor all aspects of quality, ensuring all corporate and plant management quality procedures are followed. Perform and record required audits. Investigate and analyze customer complaints to resolve or help to resolve quality issues. Lead efforts, projects, and cross-functional compliance teams in the direction of continuously improving work environment that is safe and environmentally friendly. \n Associate’s degree, high school diploma, or GED. Preferred 2-4 years combined of technical, manufacturing, and/or safety experience. Strong industrial safety background preferred. Must be computer literate. Must have intimate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Must be able to speak in public, with good communication and leadership skills. Must be able to effectively lead meetings with employees and management. Self-managing with organization, time management, and analytical skills. \nBenefits
