General Function:
Leads in the analysis of data within the Compliance Risk Management Division in support of compliance risk reviews for various Bancorp lines of business and functional areas. This position will utilize SAS, Business Objects, Excel and other analytics tools to extract and assemble relevant data from multiple systems to help the compliance testing team assess Bancorp’s compliance with laws and regulations. Works mostly self-directed, with minimal supervisory oversight. Also works within department and cross-department teams. Serves as a thought-leader; bridging the gap between Bancorp business processes and data analytics solutions. Typically leads staff during compliance engagements and projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
o Lead data complex analytic engagements, including and requesting access to data, recommending and designing test strategies, and documenting business results and procedures performed.
o Leverage analytics tools to manipulate large data files to validate adherence with various compliance rules.
o Lead the development and automation of reports and dashboards.
o Develop solutions and recommendations for improving data integrity issues.
o Independently Research and implement industry best practices for Compliance Data Analytics.
o Develop and lead training for analytic tools such as SAS, Tableau, Excel, and BO for the Compliance Division.
o Assist Compliance Testing Manager with the annual planning process and with fulfilling complex ad hoc data requests
o Analyze initial exceptions identified during data analysis and coordinate with Manager to research accuracy of data testing results
o Perform QC on data analysis performed by other data analysts, for all engagements, and provides feedback and coaching
o Support team members by acting as a data analytics subject matter expert and assist with troubleshooting and identifying solutions
o Summarize results and document procedures for data analysis performed and share results with compliance partners timely in a format that is easy to interpret/ understand
o Identify opportunities to automate compliance testing using analytics tools
o Lead on-boarding and training of new data analysts

Minimum Knowledge & Skills:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Analytics. Other academic majors should be accompanied by relevant additional work experience.
o Certifications, such as Tableau, or SAS Certified Advanced Programmer preferred
o Minimum of 6 years of experience performing analytics with tools such as SAS, Python, Tableau, Business Objects, ACL, FOCUS, and/or Cognos.
o Minimum of 6 years of experience performing analytics with programming languages such as VB and/or SQL to develop ad-hoc tools and queries/reports.
o Minimum of 6 years of experience performing data analysis in Banking, Financial services, Insurance, or Public Accounting.
o Minimum of 6 years of experience performing advanced data discovery techniques such as exploring system tables and identifying necessary data.
o Ability to effectively communicate and present technical results and their business impact.
o Demonstrated leadership skills while working within teams, maintaining professional composure.
o Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and an ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing solutions.
o Ability to adjust to multiple demands and changing priorities.
o Results and goal orientated.
o Ability to apply analytical thinking when problem solving and developing business solutions.

o Proficient with Microsoft Windows and other related applications.
