As a Compliance Engineer for the Ammonia and Hydroxylamine technologies at Freeport, you will provide daily and strategic support to the units for successful environmental and pipeline compliance.
**As a Compliance Engineer II, you create chemistry by...**
+ Engaging across the organization as the Unit Contact for all data required for completion of environmental reporting, new environmental permits, service level agreements, and/or changes to existing environmental permits.
+ Reviewing environmental and pipeline compliance records to meet periodic reporting requirements. You will also provide unit-specific coordination, preparation, and maintenance of environmental compliance activities between internal and external audits.
+ Being involved in planning and execution of plant turnarounds, as well as providing technical and leadership support in root cause failure analysis for environmental upsets.
+ Developing and implementing processes (both equipment based and administrative) to achieve business targets and compliance with environmental regulations.
+ Working to ensure proper training, you will develop and provide support for environmental training of production personnel.
+ Serving as Manufacturing Representative as assigned for capital projects, and generating and completing MoCs.
**If you...**
+ Hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
+ Have 5+ years of experience in chemical plant manufacturing or refinery environments. Some manufacturing and/or regulatory body experiences will be considered.
+ Possess organizational skills, commitment to a safe and efficient workplace, and continuous improvement mindset
