Boeing Brazil is seeking Compliance and Ethics Specialist, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office. The Compliance and Ethics Specialist will join the Boeing Global C&E organization and will serve as the Compliance & Ethics focal for Canada and Latin America region.

This is a high-profile role in a dynamic region with responsibility for identifying and assessing compliance risks to the Boeing businesses operating in the region and supporting the businesses and functions in developing and executing effective risk mitigation strategies.

The Compliance and Ethics Specialist will also be a visible and vocal advocate for the Company’s speak-up culture through integrated messaging about company values and engaging with employees and leaders at all levels across the region in an effort to prevent, detect, and respond to key compliance and ethics risks. 

Position Responsibilities:

Leading with integrity by promoting and empowering employees to speak-up, listening to them when they do, and guarding against retaliation in line with the Company’s Code of Conduct

Promoting compliance and ethics as a top priority for the region; fostering a culture where employees themselves own and embrace compliance and ethics

Managing the implementation and application of the region’s compliance risk management process and supporting associated risk mitigation activities

Proactively identifying ways to enhance, develop, implement, and execute compliance and ethics programs and initiatives in line with leading practices and tailored to advance local business priorities

Co-ordinating and supporting an Ethics Ambassadors network to amplify the reach and impact of the ethics program across the site(s)

Analyzing investigations metrics, business imperatives, external factors, observations made through engagements and industry developments to develop tailored guidance and business solutions that address emergent compliance and risks

Identifying and escalating emerging regulatory compliance risks and developments to management and functional partners as appropriate

Identifying and managing risks, monitoring, enforcing and evaluating the effectiveness of compliance and ethics policies

Maintaining and fostering collaborative relationships with site-based leaders, regional leadership and other functional partners to facilitate an effective risk culture where safety, quality and integrity remain top priorities for all employees

Ensuring timely, thorough, and quality intake of ethics reports, assisting investigative partners as needed and partnering on ethics remediation activities to address root cause issues

Providing guidance and direction to management and other teammates in response to compliance and ethics inquiries

Collaborating with C&E teammates around the world to share insights and best practices and harness collective knowledge to drive synergies and maturity in the program

Demonstrating courage in constructively challenging the status quo, leaning into challenges and navigating complexity and ambiguity


This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience):

Must have existing rights to work in Brazil

Bachelor’s degree in administration, Law or related discipline

Fluent in both written and verbal English

In depth experience in compliance and/or ethics

Ability to perform risk-based analysis of data and processes to identify risks and remedial actions

Proven ability to identify, analyze and control any regulatory issues and to propose practical and sustainable solutions, escalating matters where appropriate to management level or team

Experience in producing and presenting reports of an exceptional standard to senior management

Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience conducting risk and compliance assessments and developing business engagement plans

Project management skills related to setting goals, priorities and executing plans

Experience in developing and facilitating training to employees at all levels

Experience of working cross-culturally

Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the Spanish Language
