**Introduction** IBM has a world class Hardware Compliance engineering team located in Rochester MN that supports product testing from nearly every IBM hardware product. Hardware Compliance has responsibility for assuring that IBM’s products are designed to comply with in every country IBM does business with. Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is adherence to FCC regulations. Product Safety is conformance to Hazard Based Standards supported by underwriters such as UL. Energy Efficiency is conformance to various energy regulations such as U.S. Energy Star and EU Lot 9. IBM Hardware Compliance has an immediate need for a hardware engineer. This position is expected to perform physical duties as well as technical duties. The entry level engineer will work at the direction of others supporting various needs for keeping our lab testing product. The position will be a mix of hardware testing and hardware bring up - building hardware, configuring systems, installing OS, installing exercise programs and ensuring the system is ready for engineer to test. This is not a data center with end customers, the customers are engineers that work on early build hardware.
