For more than 40 years, Specialty Equipment has been accelerating business in the commercial equipment industry. Businesses across the U.S. and Canada rely on Great American’s Specialty Equipment Division to not only reduce risk but also to help drive profitability and meet customer needs. The primary markets we currently serve include Equipment Finance Companies, Equipment Dealers, Equipment Manufacturers, Lease Brokers, and Online B2B Marketplaces.
Our team is looking for a year-round intern in our downtown Cincinnati office. This internship will provide the intern with the opportunity to experience and work in a corporate setting, develop an understanding of how policy forms and rates are created, administered, and maintained.
The intern process provides college students the opportunity to learn about the insurance industry, as well as experience Great American’s corporate culture that values integrity, leadership, customer focus, and accountability.

Responsibilities:
Create Filing Matrices
Review Filing Portal for Accuracy
Update Form Approval History
Post weekly CAT and Natural Disaster Moratorium
Assist with:
agent and agency appointments
compliance and filing projects
competitor filing searches
divisional form, rate and rule filings
rating tool audits
policy audits
quarterly compliance newsletter
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Working toward associate or undergraduate degree in business
Microsoft Word and Excel Basics
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to follow documented procedures or verbal instruction
Strong verbal and written communication
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and as part of a team
Ability to work 15-20 hours a week during business hours. Opportunity to work additional hours on school breaks.
