Job Responsibilities: Applicant must live in one of the following Georgia counties or adjacent counties: Dougherty, Calhoun, Terrell, Lee, Worth, Crisp, Turner, and Tift. Conducts independent and objective investigations to obtain evidence of reported fraud, abuse, mismanagement, waste, or other violations of rules, regulations, or policies of the Georgia Department of Public Health. In addition, conducts background checks for employees, interns, and volunteers. + Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision. + Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas. + Assists in developing and administering policies, procedures, and plans. + Assists in preparing comprehensive and detailed reports of investigation. + Conducts investigations to ascertain facts and obtain evidence on alleged violations and misconduct; interviews witnesses and obtains statements. + Monitors compliance with terms of licensure. + Compiles and prepares summary reports, maintains case files and documentation of case resolutions, and tracking data for legal requirements. + Conducts WIC Vendor Monitoring visits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. + Investigates complaints of frauds of abuse. + Conducts WIC Vendor background investigations.
