Learn more below: We are seeking Compliance Lab Engineer specializing in Renewables, Electrical, Electromechanical and wireless equipment compliance and certification for North American market. This position will also support the certification efforts in other countries as needed.
What you will do:
Take complete ownership of planning, developing, and certifying a new compliance laboratory to meet ISO17025/NABL accreditation• Support Compliance Engineers and compliance testing activities such as, test equipment prep, setting up test racks, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electro mechanical systems.• Facilitate and perform compliance testing, e.g., product safety, grid performance, EMC, and system-level testing, etc., by building test jigs, test racks, etc.• Assists in the acquisition, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.• Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to, power meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.• Looks after and precisely plan equipment calibration and maintenance.• Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the compliance lab through proper planning and coordination with cross-functional and compliance teams.Provide support to test and certify Enphase product with the following test standards: UL1741, IEEE 1547, UL1998/991 and UL60730UL9540, UL9540A, UL1973, IEC 62109-1/-2FCC, CE, NOM, ISED, NEC, NFPA, and other product regulationsWhat You'll Bring BE/MS or higher in electrical engineering/related field with 5+ years of exceptional product testing, compliance and homologation skills.Can do all altitude and experience taking multiple products through certification cycles.Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems and a strong understanding of how to solve complex product compliance challenges.Hands-on experience with Test equipment: O-scope, Power Analyzer, Hi-pot, High Current/Voltage Source, DAQ systems, thermal chambers, RLC loads, etc.Detailed knowledge of relevant National, UL, International, Grid connection and National Electric Codes standards. Knowledge of IEC and EN standards would be an advantage.Experience with electrical abuse/safety testing using high current switch controls, high voltage DC sources, and battery module thermal testing chambers. Excellent planning and multitasking skills. Working knowledge of National and International regulations is a plus.Experience working in an ISO 17025/NABL-accredited environment is an advantage.
