Compliance Lawyer
Regulatory, Permitting, and Compliance Counsel Qualifications-          Must be an attorney licensed to practice law and in good standing in the State of Illinois (or eligible for admission on motion to the Illinois Bar pursuant to Illinois Supreme Court Rule 705 or 716) -          3 to 5 years of legal experience with a focus on federal, state and local regulatory and administrative law experience Responsibilities-          Work with and lead Daniels North American compliance team reporting to Daniels In-Housel Counsel -          Legal experience with the complex statutory and regulatory frameworks surrounding medical waste, sharps and hazardous waste disposal -          Prepare and review all local, state, and federal applications, permits, approval and licenses required for the Company’s operations  -          Serve as primary point of contact for and maintain relationships with state and local agencies regarding permit application and inspections of permitted facilities -          Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop, implement and monitor effective legal compliance programs related to permitting of trucks, waste facilities, and related operational equipment -          Familiarity with local zoning and land use approval processes preferred -          Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate our legal position to government officials and regulators -          Ability to learn new subject areas quickly and competently -          Previous supervisory experience is preferred, but not requiredWho are we?
