What this job involves:
JLL seeks an experienced Compliance Manager for our dedicated Rolls-Royce account in Derby. This critical role ensures regulatory adherence across facilities management operations for one of the world's leading aerospace manufacturers, serving as the compliance liaison between JLL and Rolls-Royce.
Regulatory Compliance: Oversee health & safety, environmental, and planning compliance across Rolls-Royce facilitiesPeople Management: Direct line management of the central administration and compliance team for the UKRisk Management: Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation strategiesAudit Coordination: Manage internal/external audits and regulatory body relationshipsStakeholder Management: Liaison with Rolls-Royce representatives, JLL teams, and regulatory authoritiesPolicy Development: Create and implement compliance policies and proceduresTraining & Awareness: Design compliance training programs and maintain competency recordsWhat your day-to-day will look like:
Manage/coordinate all required compliance activities for the UKRegular conversation with site teams to ensure work is completed as per the planEngage with 3rd party contractors to ensure work is completed and resourced correctlyAttend Daily interface meetings discussing planned works.Engage with, and inform all stakeholders, of works being controlled by you and your team and co-ordinate planned works with other stakeholders.Ensure all instructions are fully understood by our contractors prior to works commencing.Manage direct staff with regards to holidays, sickness and performance.Drive operational excellence and meet KPI and SLA performance.Ensure legislative compliance in relation to health and safety for all activities.Build and maintain excellent working relationships with the Client and the IFM team and wider stakeholders.Understand and comply with health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.Lead by example, always demonstrate and promote good health and safety management.Attend and participate in training and appraisal activities as required.Undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.Person Specification
Must have excellent customer communication skills both written and verbal You will have a proven track record for managing contractors and subcontractors preferably in Hard FM Commercial / industrial properties.You will hold relevant professional, technical, or management qualifications and experience with the ability to lead large teams effectively.Must be a confident team player with good communication skills and the ability to instruct and control contractors, intervene, and challenge actions and behaviours if the need arises. You must also be a good manager of both time and people.You must hold good communication skills and be an ambassador for your company and colleagues.You will be focused, driven, and have a desire to succeed, overcome problems and improve processes.Required Experience / Qualifications
Experience of working in Compliance ideally within either Facilities Management, M&E Manufacturing or Aerospace industry Proficiency with compliance management softwareExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesFull UK driving license (25-30% travel required)NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent safety qualificationAt JLL, we believe the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive.
