Overview Gallagher Benefit Services UK is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee Compliance Policy and Operations for our regulated activities, focusing on employee benefits, financial services, and workplace retirement solutions. This role involves providing expert regulatory advice, leading compliance monitoring, and managing key projects. You will report to the Head of Compliance or Chief Compliance Officer and may have staff management responsibilities. How you'll make an impact You'll provide: • Regulatory Guidance: Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring compliance with FCA and industry regulations. Provide advice on training, quality assurance, and advice processes. • Policy & Monitoring: Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and monitoring plans, including thematic reviews and risk-based priorities. • Compliance Operations: Oversee AML controls, financial promotions approvals, regulatory complaints, breach registers, and compliance-related MI reporting. • Horizon Scanning: Monitor regulatory updates (e.g., MiFID II, IFPR, Consumer Duty) and deliver concise summaries to support business adaptation. • Collaboration & Communication: Build strong relationships with business leaders, deliver compliance roadshows, and maintain effective communication across teams. • Leadership & Development: Support and mentor junior staff, fostering a high-performing, knowledgeable compliance team. About You • Relevant professional qualifications or equivalent experience. • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Technical Knowledge: • Expertise in pensions, investments, and employee benefit markets, with in-depth knowledge of UK regulations (e.g., MiFID II, SMCR, MAR). • Strong communication skills, including report writing and influential presentations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internal systems, with excellent numerical and analytical aptitude. Skills & Capabilities • Extensive experience in compliance or investment roles within financial services or pensions sectors, with strong project management and organizational skills. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, ensuring high accuracy and attention to detail in all documentation and solutions. • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset paired with a “can-do” attitude to overcome challenges effectively. • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering trust, collaboration, and positive working relationships.
