The role involves developing and overseeing control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies, as well as providing guidance on compliance matters. The Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in safeguarding TAIT’s reputation by ensuring strict adherence to laws and regulations. **Essential Responsibilities** **Compliance Program Management** + Develop, implement, and manage TAIT’s compliance program to ensure adherence to legal standards and in-house policies. + Design and monitor control systems for compliance risk management. + Keep up to date with regulatory requirements affecting the company, and ensure any changes are communicated effectively. **Policy Development** + Draft, review, and revise company policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory changes and internal objectives. + Ensure that all employees are educated on the latest regulations and internal policies. **Internal Audits & Investigations** + Conduct regular audits to identify potential gaps in compliance and to mitigate risks. + Lead investigations into potential compliance issues or breaches and propose corrective actions. **Risk Assessment & Mitigation** + Perform risk assessments to evaluate the TAIT's exposure to compliance risks, recommending and implementing improvements. + Monitor operational processes to ensure compliance with regulations, mitigating risks of violations. **Reporting** + Prepare and submit reports to senior management and regulatory bodies. + Monitor and communicate changes in laws, regulations, or industry trends to relevant stakeholders. **Liaison with Authorities** + Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and external auditors during compliance-related reviews. + Manage correspondence with legal and regulatory authorities when required. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required. Perform assigned duties according to the policies and expectations prescribed by the company. Minimum Qualifications To perform the essential responsibilities, individuals must have the following level of education and experience, or equivalent combination. Additionally, the following certifications, knowledge, skills, or physical requirements are necessary for the position. **Education** : + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. + Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), or similar credentials are a plus. **Experience** : + 5+ years of proven experience in a compliance role within a corporation. + Experience working with regulatory bodies and compliance frameworks (e.g. FCPA, GDPR, CCPA). **Skills** : + In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and regulatory requirements. + Strong understanding of corporate governance and risk management practices. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or within a team. + High ethical standards and integrity. **Preferred Qualifications** + In-house experience in the entertainment, live events or client services industries helpful, but not required. **Travel** + This position may require occasional travel to meet with stakeholders, vendors, or clients, both domestically and internationally. **Behavioral Competencies** + **Legal Knowledge** : A deep understanding of legal principles, procedures, and terminology is crucial for a senior paralegal to effectively assist attorneys. + **Research Skills** : Proficiency in legal research, including using online databases and libraries, is essential for gathering information to support cases. + **Organizational Skills** : Senior paralegals often handle complex cases with voluminous documents, so strong organizational skills are vital. + **Communication Skills** : Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential for interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues. + **Attention to Detail** : Precision in legal documents and case preparation is paramount to avoid errors and ensure the success of legal proceedings. + **Critical Thinking** : Senior paralegals need to analyze legal issues, identify relevant facts, and assist in developing strategies for cases. + **Time Management** : Managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities is a fundamental skill for senior paralegals. + **Confidentiality** : Handling sensitive client information and legal matters requires a commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality. + **Technology Proficiency** : Proficiency in legal software, document management systems, and e-discovery tools is essential for efficient case management. + **Teamwork** : Collaborating closely with attorneys, other paralegals, and support staff is essential to the success of legal teams. \#LI-AB1 TAIT is an equal opportunity employer fully committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
