Position Specific Description

Serves as a strategic business partner and subject matter expert for compliance with state regulations and requirements for foreign and alien surplus lines carriers Oversight of all regulatory filings with state insurance departments and CIMA Periodically meets with management to provide updates on filings and other outstanding tasks Provide oversight and management of state related reporting, surplus lines tax filings or data calls. To ensure they are submitted to insurance department accurately, by the due date Provide accurate information to respond to internal and external requests Ability to analyze data and prepare reports with a high level of accuracy Ability to effectively communicate, work in a team environment as well as independent and must have a high ability to take initiative Maintain complete and organized files Trustworthy with confidential information Participate in other projects as needed to achieve goals and objectives of internal business units Actively promote a culture of a high standard of compliance Ability to analyze and accurately interpret requirements to maintain compliance with U.S. and Cayman filing requirements and provide accurate information Excellent attention to detail, good organizational skills, critical thinking, and the ability to demonstrate thorough, accurate and timely submission of all documentation Must have Property/Casualty corporate regulatory and compliance experience Strong written and verbal communication

Job Overview

The leader in this role performs and coordinates activities related to internal and external audits of Company or business unit functional areas to ensure compliance with enforceable standards.
 

Job Duties & Responsibilities Assists business units in the preparation and submittal of documents required for compliance and related legal proceedings            Interacts with compliance teams, regulatory groups and other company personnel to build relationships, address compliance issues, develop advocacy plans and resolve problems  Analyzes and communicates the impact of key regulatory issues related to strategic business goals and potential market impact            Monitors standard approval process at the applicable level and participates in workshop panels and submits comments as required           Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Grad / GED Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience Experience: 8+ years          Leadership Experience: 2+ years Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Master's Degree
