The Base

You will be based at our Broadlands Business Campus, located near Horsham in West Sussex. Known for its high standards and international reputation, this countryside campus provides a unique working environment away from the urban bustle. We support our team with cutting-edge software and hardware, and our spacious facilities include an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, and gym. Commuters can enjoy a dedicated shuttle bus that runs regularly to and from Horsham’s mainline train station.

What You'll Do

Key Activities Responsibilities

You will support the Portfolio Management team through the following activities:

Conduct regulatory monitoring with a primary focus on FCA regulations, internal standards, and fair outcomes for clients.Collaborate with the Compliance Manager to develop and track the Compliance Monitoring Plan.Create Terms of Reference/Scope documents for assigned reviews, conducting fact-finding to identify key risks and controls for inclusion.Deliver concise written reports summarizing findings, along with actionable recommendations for addressing identified weaknesses.Provide verbal feedback on review findings to operational areas, including senior management when necessary.Ensure thoroughness in evidence gathering and maintain accurate records of testing, clearly linking findings to conclusions.Monitor and report on remedial actions and guide management in implementing necessary improvements.Generate regular management information (MI) reports and summaries of reviews/findings for senior management analysis.Act as the Lead Monitoring Officer, managing reviews and coordinating activities of other Compliance team members.Maintain up-to-date CPD records to demonstrate ongoing development and enhancement of skills and knowledge.Assist team members and provide coverage as needed, as directed by the Compliance Manager.Undertake additional tasks, including ad-hoc projects as requested by the Compliance Manager.

The Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications You Need

Experience in Compliance Monitoring or Audit, including knowledge of compliance monitoring tools and techniques and strong interviewing skills.Solid understanding of retail investments, savings, and pensions.In-depth knowledge of relevant FCA rules and their interpretation/application.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders.Effective planning and analytical skills.Familiarity with the Platform or Investment Industry and the associated regulations is a clear advantage.CISI IOC Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) or nearing completion.Proficient in IT, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, or equivalent tools.Proven ability to deliver results in a timely and professional manner.Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation.Strong organizational skills.
