Role overview

The Compliance Officer role involves working closely with the Senior Risk and Compliance Officer to support, leading delivery of compliance activities to ensure DUAL’s business operations and employee responsibilities are compliant under Australian and New Zealand regulatory requirements, our Group and Carrier obligations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the company’s risk and compliance management strategy and drive a robust risk culture.

Role responsibilities

Review of Binder compliance requirements, including reoccurring reporting to Carriers.Material vendors onboarding, due diligence and compliance management.Sanctions and EFT sure management and clearances, including relevant reporting to stakeholders at DUAL.Oversight of financial crime reporting and compliance requirements.Assist co-ordination of carrier and Group audits, collating information and evidence with DUAL business units and discussion with auditors.Investigation of incidents and breaches, liaising with partners and internal stakeholders to assist resolution, monitor remediation and any relevant reporting requirements.Contributing to third party monitoring activities, which may include conducting enquiries and research, data collections and analysis, preparing and summarising briefing papers and reports.Monitoring and reporting of employee training compliance requirements with recommendations.Provide support as required at meetings of the Committees and other stakeholder meetings.Compliance administration support, such as issuing underwriting and claims authorities and general filing.

About you

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with proven experience in the insurance industry, compliance and risk management to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in industry standards, including ASIC, APRA, and Code of Practice requirements. A deep knowledge of working within a regulated environment is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently and methodically in a fast-paced setting.

Your expert ability to analyse data, identifying potential or actual compliance events, recommending remedial actions and continuous improvement will be the catalyst of your success at DUAL. Strong verbal communication skills are a must, as you'll be working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
