**Job Description Summary:**
As part of our Option Care Health Compliance team, the Compliance & Privacy Analyst will support the development and administration of the organization’s Compliance program to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards.
This role will report to the Manager, Compliance Program Operations, and will assist in managing and enhancing key operational Compliance and Privacy programs including but not limited to training, communications, policies and procedures, incident management, and exclusion screening, as well as providing responsive guidance to compliance and privacy related inquiries.
**Job Description:**
**Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)**
+ Assists with completing projects and initiatives on the Annual Compliance Work Plan. Works cooperatively with stakeholders throughout the organization to forge cross-functional partnerships and collaborative relationships to ensure successful project execution.
+ Supports Compliance and Privacy policy and procedure development and maintenance including monitoring for changes in rules, regulations and business process that impact policies and procedures. Ensures updates are timely and communicated to stakeholders.
+ Supports the development of progressive and effective Compliance and Privacy training programs and communication campaigns to educate team members on the legal, regulatory and ethical standards that apply to their jobs and ensures that such training and communications are engaging to the audiences.
+ Maintains content and integrity of the Compliance & Privacy intranet site. Identifies and implements site enhancements. Also supports the department’s records management initiatives.
+ Executes the exclusion screening program of employees, prescribers, and vendors; coordinates cross-functionally to ensure timely and efficient execution consistent with organizational policy and industry standards. Reports on exclusion screening findings and ensures corrective actions are completed.
+ Supports the privacy incident management process including ensuring prompt and timely investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action plans and reporting obligations using our third-party incident management system (RADAR).
+ Supports the coordination and execution of auditing and monitoring activities related to the compliance and privacy program.
+ Manages the intake, review and response of the Compliance and Privacy email boxes and other intake mechanisms to the department. Responds to inquiries on a variety of compliance and privacy topics by gathering additional details on the questions/issues and conducting relevant research.
+ Supports compliance and privacy integration initiatives with new business models, mergers and acquisitions.
+ Prepares reports, presentation decks and other materials for Compliance & Privacy management and senior leadership related to department activities.
+ Serves as Compliance & Privacy Department representative on Committees and project teams; Provides regular updates and reports out to the Compliance & Privacy Team and Management.
+ Respects and maintains the confidentiality of sensitive business and patient information at all times. Maintains files and work papers consistent with Option Care Health policy and Compliance processes at all times.
+ Stays abreast of changes in healthcare regulations, industry trends, and best practices in compliance program development, and proactively identifies opportunities to enhance compliance processes and systems.

**Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements**
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of progressive experience in a healthcare compliance and privacy program, or other similar risk management program
**OR**
High School Diploma and at least 4 years direct experience in a healthcare compliance and privacy program, or other similar risk management program.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Experience in managing and enhancing Compliance and Privacy programs including training, communications, policies and procedures, investigations, incident management, and exclusion screening.
+ Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations including but not limited to Fraud, Waste and Abuse, Stark Law, HIPAA. Experience evaluating information to determine compliance with standards, laws, and regulations.
+ Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
+ Experience managing multiple projects at the same time including organization, time management and regular status reporting to supervision including progress, roadblocks and support needed. Must be comfortable working in Microsoft Excel to manage task trackers, conduct analysis and prepare reporting.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, prepare summaries and communicate findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.

+ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
+ Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
+ Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
+ Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
**Physical Demand Requirements**
+ Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
**Travel Requirements: (if required)**
+ Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
**Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Risk Management or other Business or Healthcare related field.
+ Certification in Compliance as recognized by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and /or Health Care Compliance Association or other professional organization.
+ Preference for at least 2 years of direct experience in compliance program for home infusion services, pharmacy, nursing or other similar type of provider.
+ Preference for at least 2 years of experience applying knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care regulatory requirements.
+ Preference for experience using common third-party software solutions for Compliance and Privacy program management of incidents, investigations, monitoring and exclusion screening (such as RADAR, Navex, Streamline Verify, etc.)
Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:
Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Pay Range is $61,163.18-$101,960.70
