Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at—all from Day One. **Job Description** The CQA Lead Analyst is responsible for the administration and execution of testing activities for the Compliance Quality Assurance (CQA) function within the Independent Risk Review and Assessment (IRRA) second line organization. Key roles and responsibilities include partnering with the Line of Business and other RCA Professionals to help create, implement, maintain, review, and oversee an effective risk management framework, as needed and applicable. The CQA Lead Analyst is responsible for projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and is responsible for the identification of control and process weaknesses through testing activities. When gaps are identified, the Lead Analysts helps identify solutions that minimize losses. Further, the Lead Analyst is responsible for effective verbal communication of testing results to Senior Management, including well written draft written reports provided to the engagement Manager. The Lead Analyst is also responsible for responding to and/or escalating significant risks as appropriate. Further, while not a people manager, the Lead Analyst is responsible for providing oversight, coaching, feedback, etc. specific to the work Analysts complete. **Core Job Duties:** Under direction of the CQA Manager, this position will be responsible for the following: + Execution, oversight, and/or the management of testing activities including planning, scoping, design, population procurement, sampling, completion and/or review of work papers, exception vetting, root cause analysis, and the drafting of reports, all in a timely manner and in accordance with CQA policies and procedures. + For these core testing activities, the Lead Analyst is responsible for: + Completing or assisting the Manager in completing all planning activities for assigned reviews, including identifying and analyzing business processes, key risks and critical controls to determine the overall scope. + Developing test programs which provide sufficient guidance for testing for compliance and control performance effectiveness, as well as making evaluations which effectively achieve audit objectives including: + Analyzing business line controls and designs and executes a test program to assess the adequacy and effectives of the controls. + Conducting account level transactional testing and completes data mining to identify potential errors in the full population of transactions. + Compiling work papers that effectively document test steps, including test objectives, findings, issues, and conclusions. At the direction of the Manager, may assist in reviews to ensure work papers contain relevant facts to support testing scope and conclusions and adhere to internal procedures and guidelines. + Preparing draft issues, memos, and reports that clearly communicate testing conclusions to senior management. + Preparing documentation for review and approval by the Manager where required for each phase of the review, as noted above, as well assisting the Manager in the reporting and wrap-up phases of reviews. + Assisting the Manager in monitoring progress of reviews against plan and schedule, including making necessary adjustments to scheduled work and necessary reviews to ensure timely delivery of key milestones. + Partners and collaborates closely with the Business Lines and the Chief Risk Office (CRO), as well as other key functions such as Corporate Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, and Audit, throughout the lifecycle of all reviews led by the Lead Analyst. + Completes all development & training requirements and assists the Manager to ensure new hires are appropriately on-boarded & trained for job function. + Assist in ensuring all business lines and other key partners are provided timely status updates for on-going reviews. + Assists the Manager in engaging the Senior Manager in all issue severity decisions to support ratings, including assisting in detailed walk-throughs with Senior Management of all high severity issues and needs improvement ratings prior to formal submission of the issue/report, as needed. **Basic Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Typically more than five years of applicable experience **Key Competencies and Skills** + Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business. + Considerable understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls. + Considerable knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies. + Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills. + Must possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs. + Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. + Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. + Applicable professional certifications (CRCM, CERP, CIA, etc.) _**The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.**_ If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants (https://careers.usbank.com/global/en/disability-accommodations-for-applicants) . **Benefits:** Our approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members’ whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
