Compliance Services Associate

Position Summary

The Compliance Services Associate serves as the go-to client resource for our Managed Services clients. This includes identifying, prioritizing, and resolving client issues as well as coordinating the appropriate internal departments to provide timely responses and solutions to clients. Individuals in this position are self-motivated with strong client service and organization skills as well as a high level of accuracy.

Key Position Responsibilities

•       Deliver client services utilizing Sovos’ Tax Information Reporting (1099), Affordable Care Act, Sales and Use Tax Reporting, FATCA, and/or Certificate Management software

•       Ensure compliance with applicable taxing authorities (IRS, State and Local Governments) and client-specified procedures by adhering to internal policies and procedures

•       Interact directly with Sovos clients on a regular basis as part of service delivery and issue resolution

•       Support Compliance Services Representatives with reconciliation, research, and other tasks as directed

•       Assist in identifying and resolving issues as directed by the Compliance Services Representative, Supervisor, or Manager

•       Identify process improvements and offer suggestions to build internal efficiencies and reduce risk and participate in internal process improvement projects

 

Minimum Position Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related work experience

·       Basic computer software knowledge; strong Microsoft Excel skills

·       Ability to learn quickly and become an expert on our software and services

·       Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on listening and documenting client needs

·       Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to both technical and non- technical audiences

·       Detail oriented and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

·       Previous client support / service experience preferred
