Job Description:

We’re looking for a Compliance Specialist to join our Integrated Compliance Services team at MBPS. In this role, you are responsible for assisting with the implementation and ongoing monitoring of Manulife’s Third-Party Distribution Risk Management program, globally.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the creation and maintenance of a compliance framework in line with OSFI's B10 rule.

Help ensure the framework remains compliant with regulatory requirements.

Support the definition and establishment of operational processes for the distribution program.

Collaborate with the risk management team to identify and mitigate distribution compliance risks.

Assist in identifying and recommending systems and technologies to support the compliance framework.

Help develop methodologies for risk rating, escalation, and review frequency.

Support the implementation of an Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)  program for medium/high-risk activities.

Assist in defining triggers for review and escalation within the EDD program.

Assist in establishing a testing and monitoring program to ensure ongoing compliance.

Help identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures as needed.

Provide support for the resources and oversight of the EDD program.

Assist in the coordination of training and education for employees.

Help ensure employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to support the compliance framework.

Qualifications:

5 years of experience in financial services compliance, audit, risk, or control roles.

Experience in compliance roles with an understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in financial services.

Problem solving skills, including applying judgement, experience to analyze program documentation to complete assignments.

Awareness of OSFI’s regulatory framework, including OSFI E-13, Regulatory Change Management, and B-10 Guideline is an asset.

University or post-secondary education is preferred.

Experience in insurance distribution is an asset.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Ability to identify compliance risks and support effective solutions.

Excellent communication and people skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders globally.
