**Compliance and Support Specialist - Plant Ratcliffe**
**Summary of Position Duties**
Job Summary: This position is for a compliance specialist at Plant Ratcliffe and Plant Sweatt. This position handles developing and communicating strategic direction for the plant as well as ensuring clarity of accountabilities and consistency with system direction for environmental compliance. This position will ensure and document full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and laws, with the result being the protection of the environment, and the safety and health of employees.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Results oriented and proactive in maintaining compliance with all environmental laws and regulations
+ Ensures compliance with permits by monitoring equipment and interfacing with electric generating plant personnel and contractors
+ Works closely with Environmental Affairs and other support organizations to ensure proper implementation of compliance programs
+ Ensure that adequate compliance programs are developed (proper allocation of resources, clear definition of roles and responsibilities for compliance, execution of training programs, corrective actions to prevent any recurrence of a discovered violation, and self-monitoring)
+ Manage internal or external compliance reviews and audits
+ Performs specific compliance tests. Maintains the knowledge and ability to support testing in additional compliance areas.
+ Report any compliance-related problems to plant management and manage corrective actions
+ Ensures the self-assessment process is successfully implemented and utilized to manage compliance
+ Develops and tracks short and long-term budgets to ensure that necessary funds are available to meet current and future needs
+ Coordinates projects which may require interfacing with employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies
+ Coordinate Environmental Stewardship related activities.
**Job Requirements:**
+ College degree in related field is preferred.
+ Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to the plant-required
+ Experience interfacing with and knowledge of the corporate compliance and support functions- highly desirable
+ Ability to recognize and effectively address changing priorities-required
+ Must have good problem solving/analytical skills and be able to troubleshoot complex systems
**Preferences:**
+ Experience with Maximo, Oracle, and PowerPlant software is preferred
+ Proficient use of computer applications and knowledge of budgeting process
+ Working knowledge of plant operations and equipment is preferred.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
