As a Surveillance Lead Vice President within the North America Commodities Trade Surveillance team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing commodities trade activities. Your responsibilities will include reviewing surveillance alerts and escalating any potential market manipulation or other prohibited trading behaviors. Working closely with Line of Business (LOB) management and LOB Compliance stakeholders, as well as global/regional Surveillance teams, you will be a key contributor to the advancement of our global program and its responsibilities. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, superior analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
Review surveillance output and analyze trading and market activity, with a focus on Firmwide trading in physical commodities and OTC derivatives products to identify potential market manipulation or other impermissible trading behaviorWork with Line of Business management and LOB Compliance stakeholders to review and resolve activity that requires further reviewPartner with global/regional Surveillance teams in promoting our global program and its responsibilities Conduct reviews and analysis to support regulatory exams and inquiries and other requests, and as needed work with the Legal department on responsesWork with global Surveillance and Technology stakeholders on new and enhanced surveillances including defining requirements, conducting analysis and UAT testing, and implementing related processes and proceduresRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Bachelor's DegreeMinimum 3+ years of Trade Surveillance or other compliance regulatory, or related financial industry experience Relevant knowledge of physical commodities and OTC derivatives products Knowledge of industry rules and regulations and market structureStrong written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to effectively partner with key stakeholders and technology partnersExperience with surveillance tools and related applications such as Actimize, Bloomberg, as well as with Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
