Description: Seeking a talented Component Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO. If you're passionate about developing and evaluating cutting-edge technology for the harshest environments and most critical strategic systems, this is the role for you! Key Duties:
+ Lead and Assist: Perform Electrical Component (Parts) Engineering and execute the Electrical Electronic Electromechanical and Electrooptical (EEEE) Parts management plan.
+ Innovate: Evaluate new technologies and collaborate with survivability, design, test, and manufacturing engineers, as well as agencies like DLA, part manufacturers, and test labs.
+ Ensure Quality: Conduct analysis, inspection, design, test, and integration to assure product quality.
+ Collaborate: Work closely with design engineers, other functional areas, and vendors to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
+ Manage Obsolescence: Monitor BOMs, solve issues, and manage implementation of fixes to prevent production line stoppages.
In This Role You Will:
+ Define and lead EEEE Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture, and test.
+ Develop strategic approaches for selection, qualification, test, and failure analysis of EEEE Parts.
+ Coordinate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain.
+ Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, ICs, hybrids, crystals, oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors.
+ Travel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Ability to obtain security clearance
+ Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field.
+ Formal coursework, training, experience, and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, semiconductor physics, and/or operation of devices.
+ Advanced knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials, and processes used in EEEE parts.
+ Experience reviewing engineering drawings/specifications and providing guidance.
+ Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements.
+ Knowledge of failure analysis, destructive physical analysis, and/or root cause and corrective action analysis related to EEEE parts.
Desired Skills:
+ Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
+ Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Engineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics, or related field.
+ Familiarity with technical requirements and program plans.
+ Experience leading and presenting in major program milestone reviews (PDR, CDR).
+ Advanced understanding of nuclear effects on EEEE parts and working with Survivability Engineers.
+ Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements.
+ Advanced understanding of worst-case analysis (WCA), EEEE parts derating, and end-of-life requirements.
+ Experience evaluating current and developing technologies for EEEE parts in complex design packages.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is Required to be considered for this role.
