Components Engineer
Are you a seasoned Components Engineer with a passion for innovation and problem-solving? We're looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to provide top-notch Components Engineering support for new designs and redesigns, addressing Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) issues. Position Responsibilities: + Innovate and Analyze: Provide expert support on component selection analysis for new designs and redesigns to tackle DMSMS issues. + Ensure Compliance: Ensure components adhere to Parts Management Plans and meet all necessary standards. + Resolve and Report: Resolve obsolescence issues, avoid counterfeit parts, generate customer reports, identify part substitutions, support second source part qualification, prepare procurement specifications, and resolve development and production parts problems. Required Experience: + Ability to obtain security clearance + Extensive Expertise: 6+ years of experience in Components Engineering support for new products undergoing qualification. + Production Proficiency: 6+ years of experience in Components Engineering support for products in production. + Component Knowledge: 6+ years of experience with electronic components and devices at the integrated circuit or discrete level. + DMSMS Mastery: 6+ years of experience with DMSMS. + Manufacturing Experience: Proven experience in manufacturing processes and creating processes for building hardware. + Maintenance and Testing: Experience with the maintenance of hardware and testing of repairs. + Product/Tech Development: Experience in product and technology development. Desired Skills: + Active Secret Clearance + Problem-Solving: Experience with component-related failure issues, pure tin issues, and counterfeit part detection. + Specification Savvy: Experience generating part management plan specifications to ensure electronic components are qualified for usage. + Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team using engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components in evaluating components for electronic assemblies. Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is Required to be considered for this role.
