Summary
The Composite Process Engineer is responsible for technical support for all lamination materials and processes for Sportsman Boats and Phenom Yachts. This includes documentation and training for open mold lamination, infusion, LRTM and silicone bagging.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
· Provide technical support, training, and documentation to lamination departments.
· Specializes in lamination materials and processes used for open and closed molding.
· Works with engineering and quality departments to identify and implement standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Develops and improves processes to enhance quality and eliminate rework.
· Trains and demonstrates best practices through guidance, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
· Documents and makes changes for fitment of lamination materials and to reduce rework and scrap.
· Coordinate new lamination materials and chemicals for testing, validation, and implementation of QA standards.
· Assist with lamination design, programming CNC machines and Bill of Materials.
· Document processes and flow to continuously improve the output of the departments.

Preferred Education and Experience
· Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Degree
· Boat building experience
· Bilingual Spanish/English
