Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6 Months)
Location: Kinston, NC 28504
Schedule: Monday to Friday, First Shift 8AM-5PM
Pay Rate: $36.25/hour
 
Are you a skilled Composite Technician looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking a talented individual to join our team and contribute to innovative projects in the aerospace industry. Key Responsibilities: Lay out, assemble, pre-fit, and bond various metal, composite, or laminate fabrications, assemblies, parts, skins, or equipment. Follow engineering and manufacturing specifications to determine parts to be bonded and the required temperature and pressure. Operate autoclaves, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete the bonding cycle. Sand, burr, and smooth areas, and apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges. Perform complicated rework or repair as needed. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with controlled procedures. Utilize lay-up tools, including both optical and hard tools, in the fabrication of composite and metal assemblies. Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work orders, documents, verbal, and electronic information. Use shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments to complete work assignments. Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs per procedure. Use and control solvents and cleaning solutions in the preparation of details, tools, and assemblies for bonding and paint. Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of daily work duties. Routinely move products within the immediate manufacturing work area using shop-assigned equipment. Support the continuous flow of products within the manufacturing process by training and assisting other employees. Train to become MVP qualified. Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience in composites. Aerospace experience required. Must be able to start ASAP. Local candidates strongly preferred. Pay and per diem only - Standard per diem of $110/wk. Expected pay range: $34/hr. - $37/hr. Why Join Us? Pay Details: $36.25 per hour
