We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onwards toward certifying the Joby aircraft with the Federal Aviation Administration, scaling our manufacturing, and preparing to launch commercial service in 2025. Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Composite Trim Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for trimming and finishing composite parts to meet specified requirements and quality standards. Your expertise in composite materials and precision trimming techniques will play a crucial role in ensuring the final quality sign off and fit of the composite components. 

Responsibilities Trim excess material from composite parts using various tools such as routers, sanders, and saws. Follow engineering drawings and specifications to achieve precise dimensions and contours. Perform surface preparation and finishing tasks, including sanding, buffing, and polishing. Conduct quality inspections to identify any defects, imperfections, or irregularities in the trimmed parts. Collaborate with the production team to meet production schedules and maintain workflow efficiency. 

 

Required High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Able to lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs. Able to become certified to wear a respirator. Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner. Maintain work area in a neat, orderly, and organized manner. Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials.   Desired

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $22-$33/hour. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
