As a Compounder, you will compound production vinyls to strict quality standards to be run on cast lines. We are interested in individuals who are great teammates and are able to accept and respond to multitask assignments quickly. In addition, you are motivated toward productivity improvements, quality conscientiousness, and hold safety as a value. Being our Compounder, you have an attention to detail and are able to inspect, detect, and correct product quality according to standards.  Typical work hours are Monday through Friday on C Shift (11PM-7AM) In this important role, you will be responsible for:  + Producing compounds by following standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher level technical personnel. Monitoring controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.  + Optimizing the use of equipment to assure casting lines have material ready + Ensuring updated and current production schedules are followed sequentially and production status is communicated to next shift + Accurately performing computer entry to record material transactions and operating data + Maintaining production records and logs of equipment and product performance.  + Expediting the turnaround of color adds in batch shading + Assisting the Color Lab with quality testing and other duties, NOT including color matching. + Communicating and following escalation procedures if any delays or bottlenecks caused by process, quality, equipment, and raw materials to Color Lab and supporting staff + Assisting in equipment maintenance activities as needed + Supporting Six Sigma projects and activities + Following all health, safety and housekeeping procedures, policies and practices. Consistently working in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers and manufacturing systems.  + Maintaining a safe and clean work area (5S) + Supporting safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives. + Teamwork: Assisting and supporting other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participating and sharing in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility. Contributing and participating in team decision making. Providing support in project work and other special requests.  + Performing all other functions, as necessary.
