**Position Summary**
Primary purpose of this position: Responsible for the dispensing of chemicals and compounding of bulk product according to department
SOP´s and batch record requirements. Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace while producing a quality product.
**Essential Functions**
• Basic weighing or measuring of materials, or products.
• Understand the continuous improvement process.
• Must be able to train and cross train less experienced compounders and cleaning technicians.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely on the batch record.
• Observe equipment operations so that abnormalities can be detected, and escalate abnormalities timely and appropriately.
• Operation of simple equipment.
• Collect product samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis and testing.
• Cleaning of compounding equipment (tanks/pumps/utensils).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Clean and lubricate mechanical parts of machines and other small parts, to include transfer lines, mixing tanks and other equipment as needed.
• Cleaning of portable equipment, such as pumps, fillers, storage containers, stationary storage tanks
and return cleaned parts to designated storage areas.
• Management of waste water and proper disposal.
• Completion of the lock out tag out program.
• Ability to read and determine batch requirements.
• Follow all EPC Safety/Environmental, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Lean 5S policies and regulation guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
**Required Skills and Experience**
•High school diploma or GED required from an accredited institution.
•One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
•Light mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
•Basic math and computer skills required.
•Must be qualified to wear a respirator.
•Flexibility to work weekends and overtime.
•Must be able to read, write and understand English.
•Ability to follow detailed instructions and be detailed oriented.
•Ability and willingness to work closely with others and departments.
•Ability to document and communicate properly.
•Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
